Tariq Nawaz

President & CEO

Tariq Nawaz is the President & CEO of Centennial Group. Prior to forming the Centennial Group, Tariq has held several prestigious positions in Senior & Executive Management for two decades with WAPDA, Civil Aviation Authority, Private Airline, Construction and Oil & Gas Companies. He has extensive international experience across the globe, especially in Pakistan, UAE, Qatar, Singapore, Malaysia, Azerbaijan, South Africa, United Kingdom and the United States of America.

He received his formal education from the University of Engineering and Technology Lahore, with an Honors Bachelors in Electrical Engineering. He went on to pursue his Masters in Business Administration (Finance & Marketing) from the College of Business Administration, Philippines. He is a member of the Pakistan Engineering Council, Pakistan Engineering Congress, and Institution of Electrical Engineers.

Tariq has an experience for setting up the infrastructure and all the operational aspects of several operations, including their sales & marketing, administration, public relations and customer services.

Alia Tariq

 Chief Operating Officer

Alia Tariq, Bachelor of Arts in English Literature, Philosophy, and Sociology brings two decades of executive leadership in strategic communications, commercial growth, and complex media management to Centennial Group.

​Commercial Revenue Leadership: Transformed business operations at The Friday Times as Head of the Business Department, delivering measurable revenue expansion.

​Hospitality & Reputation Management: Directed media strategy, high-stakes crisis communications, and corporate branding for seven years at Pearl Continental Lahore (Hashoo Group) following key PR roles at Avari Lahore.

​Global Events & Media: Managed PR and event execution for the World of Tomorrow international conference series.

Malik Naeem Khan

Senior Advisor – Corporate Development

Malik Naeem Khan serves as Senior Advisor – Corporate Development to Centennial Petroleum, advising on corporate development, capital markets strategy, mergers and acquisitions, strategic partnerships, international business development, and long-term growth initiatives. He operates independently of the Company’s day-to-day management.

Mr. Khan is the Founder & Managing Principal of HighWater Capital Partners, an investment and advisory firm focused on maritime, energy, infrastructure, and industrial investments.

He began his career in 1995 and has since built more than three decades of international experience across investment banking, corporate finance, structured finance, shipping, principal investing, and strategic advisory, with assignments spanning Africa, the Middle East, Japan, Europe, and the United States.

Prior to founding HighWater Capital Partners, Mr. Khan established CapeShore Maritime Partners in 2011, a specialist maritime investment boutique engaged in proprietary investment and the ownership and operation of bulk carriers, container vessels, project cargo ships, and ship recycling assets. The firm built out and operated a diversified fleet from 2014, successfully divesting its assets by 2021. Since CapeShore’s founding in 2011, Mr. Khan has been involved in over 100 vessel transactions spanning acquisitions, disposals, financings, and technical and commercial oversight, building an extensive track record in maritime asset investment, financing, and operations.

Before entering maritime investment, Mr. Khan spent over 15 years in senior investment banking and corporate finance roles. He served as Head of Investment Banking at United Capital Bank, covering North African markets, and as a Senior Member of the Investment Banking team at ORIX Group, where he advised corporate and public-sector clients on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, recapitalizations, financial restructurings, privatizations, joint venture investments, and capital raising initiatives. He began his career in wealth management with Raymond James Financial in the United States before joining the Private Client Division at Bankers Trust.

Mr. Khan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Psychology from the University of Rochester, USA, and an MBA from Cranfield School of Management, UK.

Atif Bari

Senior Technical Advisor – Aviation & MRO

Atif Bari is an aviation engineering and MRO professional with over 30 years of experience in aircraft and gas turbine engine maintenance, overhaul, quality assurance, NDT and aviation safety.

He currently serves as Deputy General Director at ASG Helicopter Services, Azerbaijan, and has previously held senior positions with Gulf Helicopters Company, Qatar, and Pakistan Aeronautical Complex.

His experience includes the establishment and management of engine overhaul facilities, engine test cells, component workshops, NDT laboratories, composite and blade repair facilities, and other specialized aviation MRO capabilities.

Atif has extensive knowledge of EASA Part 145, FAA requirements, AS9100, NADCAP and ISO standards. He holds Master’s degrees from NUST and NDU, a Bachelor’s in Aeronautical Engineering, an EASA Part CAMO Diploma, and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

As Senior Technical Advisor – Aviation & MRO, his combination of technical expertise, regulatory knowledge and hands-on experience in developing and managing sophisticated MRO capabilities brings significant strength to Centennial International’s aviation and aerospace activities.
